There's a moment between every tick when nothing happens. That's the moment I've been chasing my whole life. 

 

When I was a kid, my grandfather wore a watch he never set down. I was fascinated by it — but not for the reason you'd think.

 

I was fascinated by the seconds in between. The gap between the tick and the next tick. The space where time is, but nothing happens. Most people look at a watch to see the hour. I looked at one to see everything else.

 

I joined the military on a coinflip. It was between that and going to film school. When I was in boot camp I broke my Fossil on the butt of my gun during training and chose not to it. I liked the idea that I had a reminder of the exact time my watch died.

 

I built Mercier Prototype because that fascination never left. I could never find a watch that was exactly what I wanted and instead, I decided to make them.

 

Every Mercier is designed in by me and assembled in America. Evech case is serial-numbered. Each component is thoughtfully sourced for one reason: to do its job, and then a little more. There is no heritage premium. There is no boutique markup. There is the watch, the math behind it, and the person who made it.
